The short version: we collect almost nothing, we don’t track you, we don’t sell anything, and if you ever want us to delete what little we have, just ask.
The longer version, because honesty is sort of the whole point:
The only information we collect is what you choose to hand us through our contact form: your name, your email address, your phone number (if you give it, it’s optional), what you said your message was about, the option you picked describing yourself, and whatever you wrote in the message box.
That’s it. We don’t run analytics. We don’t use tracking pixels. We have not connected Google Analytics, Jetpack, or any other tool that watches what you do here. We’re not interested in surveilling you. We just want to read and answer your message.
When you submit the form, two things happen: a copy is saved in our website’s own database (using a plugin called Flamingo), and a notification is emailed to us so a real person can read it and write back. The stored copies live on our web host’s server, and we’re the only ones who look at them.
We read it. We reply to it. That’s the entire purpose.
We do not sell your information. We don’t rent, trade, or hand it to advertisers, partly on principle and partly because we’re a tiny write-in campaign with no one to sell it to. We won’t add you to any mailing list unless you specifically ask to be.
The site itself doesn’t run tracking or analytics. But like nearly every website on earth, our web host keeps standard server logs, including visitor IP addresses, for basic security and operation, and WordPress may set basic functional cookies needed for the site to work. We don’t use any of it to profile or follow you.
When we link to or embed content from social platforms (YouTube, Facebook, and others as we launch them), those companies run under their own privacy policies, not ours. If a page includes an embedded video or feed, that third party may set its own cookies or collect data when you interact with it. We don’t control that and can’t speak for them; if it matters to you, check that platform’s privacy policy.
You can ask us anytime to show you what we have on file or to delete it. We’ll do it: no forms, no hoops. Just email us (below).
This site is aimed at voters and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
